Wessex Vale Crematorium Celebrates 10 years of Service to the Community

Wessex Vale Crematorium first opened on the 9th December 2009, so on 9th December 2019, it celebrated ten years of service to the communities of Eastleigh Borough and surrounding areas with a Christmas Remembrance and Carol Service.

Throughout the past ten years, over 16,000 families have chosen Wessex Vale for the Funeral of their loved ones.

Set within eight acres of landscaped gardens, Wessex Vale Crematorium is proud to offer the opportunity for families of all faiths and those with none to hold a uniquely personal funeral service.

The crematorium has a state-of-the-art media centre which provides the opportunity for live webcasting to people all around the world, personalised photo tributes and an almost unlimited music library. Tradition is not forgotten, as the crematorium Chapel has a Viscount organ to accompany traditional hymns or for classical organ music, and all forms of live music can be accommodated by arrangement.

Wessex Vale Crematorium is owned and operated by the Westerleigh Group, the second largest privately owned operator of Crematoria and Cemeteries in the UK who have 34 crematoria and many cemeteries located all over the country, from Scotland to Cornwall.

The friendly, helpful team at Wessex Vale Crematorium is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to families, not only at the time of the funeral service, but also in the weeks, months and years afterwards. They can also advise on the choice of memorials that are available within the Gardens of Remembrance. Over the years the gardens have matured and offer a peaceful oasis of calm, where many families have chosen to place personal memorials for their loved ones that they can visit 365 days of the year.

Earlier this year the Crematorium introduced regular quarterly coffee mornings to which all are welcome, and these events have been very well received by all who have attended.
