Remembrance Day at Wessex Vale Crematorium

Wessex Vale Crematorium is holding a special Memorial Service on Saturday 2 November to mark Remembrance Day.

The event will be led by local funeral celebrant minister Rev Mac, starting at 2pm in the crematorium’s chapel. It will be followed by a buffet.

Visitors will also be able to write a letter or card which can be placed into the crematorium’s Letters to Heaven memorial post box.

No booking is required and the event is open to everyone.

Wessex Vale Crematorium is part of  Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of cemeteries and crematoria, with 40 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.

Crematorium Manager Lisa Johnson said: “Honouring lives of people who have passed on is a big part of what we do here and it feels fitting that we should commemorate Remembrance Day.

“As a nation, it’s important that we never forget those who gave their lives for us.

“Everyone is welcome to join us at our open chapel event to reflect on and remember those who fought and died in the armed forces.”
